Education is the most powerful weapon you can use to change the world.

“Nelson Mandela”

Indeed, education has been officially recognized as a human right since the adoption of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights in 1948. The United Nations Convention on children rights further reinforces and responds to the concept of the right to education, in particular through the obligation to take into account, in its implementation, the four fundamental principles of the Convention:

  1. Non-discrimination;
  2. child protection and best interests of the child;
  3. The right to life, to survival;
  4. Children’s right to life, survival and development to the maximum extent possible.

The opportunity to obtain an education is something that many take for granted. Providing a child with the tools to create a better future is invaluable. The school that our organization helped rehabilitate is a safe haven for 380 students. Many of these students are orphans and victims of the outbreak of war since 1996. Despite the challenges they face, our students choose education rather than food.

We have constructed two units of classrooms. The First unit with 4 classrooms. We have 380 students attending our school & Second unit with 2 classrooms and administration office.

From the environmental viewpoint:

  • As it is often said that people are always influenced by their  environment, so the primary goal of our NGo is to ensure a clean and conducive environment;
  • It is necessary to know that in a country where the living environment is clean, graphically speaking the curve must be increasing.

From the safety viewpoint:

  • Safety is an instrument that guarantees the survival of the population. The population is manipulated by security.
  • By investing in education, the latter will be manipulated by education.

From the economy viewpoint:

  • We see that the economic policies of our country is based on uncut rocks. “What’s the point of collecting rocks if there is no one to cut them?
  • After several analyses carried out by research experts of the state department, your support and ours would bring remedy to the problem. Our goal is trough economical development build self sustainable communities at the most places our organization operates.

BAHATI

Our proud

Top Marks: Bahati received 91% on his national exams. He had the highest scores in South Kivu province. The minister of Education was very surprised because such a poor area has a low record of education success. Bahati said he had been sponsored to go to school. He believed his part was to work hard and get good grades so maybe he could go to university.

We invite you to join in keeping this reality alive for more students to come.

The opportunity to obtain an education is something many take for granted. Providing a child with tools to create a brighter future is invaluable. The school that our organization helped remodel is a safe haven for 380 students. Many of these students are orphans that were displaced after the war broke out in 1996. These children do not need to have the importance of education explained to them, as when asked the children explained that they would choose a school program over food.

With the assistance of New Life, the E.P Chirhodu school now has both a 4 room and 2 room building that lessons are conducted in. The NGO was also able to fund enough money to provide the students of E.P Chirhodu with the essential school supplies so that they could study properly. We are also proud to elaborate that a Christmas Meal program for families has also been implemented and has helped so many.

The sad reality is that most of the children that attend the school are orphans, which makes it difficult to cover operating expenses. Education is so incredibly important for these children, and it is imperative to keep the teachers educated. In order to generate funds to pay teacher salaries and obtain more school supplies, the Student Goat Farming project was created. Which began with only 15 goats has now expanded to approximately 300 goats and continues to flourish. Each goat is proudly tended to by a student, and as of 2018. $17,000 was spent to purchase 311 more goats. We want to continue to see success with the Student Goat Farming project. This project not only has a positive impact on the children, but also the community.
